Tessa Leensvaart Baptism Testimony

Tessa Leensvaart was baptized on November 27, 2016 in front of her parent’s church family. Following is her confession of faith in Christ. We pray that you are as encouraged as we are to see the continuing to prove Himself faithful and good.

“My name is Tessa and I’m getting baptized because I want you to know what Jesus has done for me. Jesus died on the cross for my sins so I don’t have to die forever. I know I need Jesus because I am a sinner and I know I am a sinner because I lie and sometimes I think bad things about my sisters. When I sin, I know I can ask for forgiveness from God and from others.
One of my favorite bible verses is found in Proverbs 3:5-8 and it goes like this ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones'”

If reading this makes you wonder what baptism is and why anyone would even consider doing it…please contact us at office@greenvillegrace.org and allow us to answer your questions!

Samuel Kerns Baptism Testimony

Samuel Kerns was baptized on July 17, 2016 in front of his parent’s church family. Following is his confession of faith in Christ. We pray that you are as encouraged as we are to see the continuing to prove Himself faithful and good.

“I am getting baptized because Jesus gives me grace. When I do something wrong Jesus forgives me. Jesus died on the cross for my sins and Acts 16:31 says ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.’ By getting baptized I am showing everybody that I love Jesus, and that He has saved me from my sins.”
